ACT! is a once a week 12-week program for youth, 8-14 years old and their parents/guardians, that promotes healthy nutrition and physical activity. Developed in partnership with providers and professionals at Seattle Children's Hospital and the YMCA of Greater Seattle, ACT! helps families make positive lifestyle changes.
The ACT! Program appeals to families by providing engaging fun and educational activities. By actively changing together, families can learn how to create healthy habits. Specially trained Y staff offer guidance and encouragement for eating well, playing often and preventing health conditions associated with being overweight.
A healthcare provider referral is required to enroll (may be a MD/DO, RN, RD or any licensed healthcare provider).
Your healthcare provider can complete the referral and fax it to the YMCA at 360-255-7098 or email to Mary E.C. Latta, email@example.com. An ACT! team member will contact interested families.
